OUR CURRENT PROJECT
April 3th - 7th, 2010
Allensworth Township Commemoration & Col. Allen Allensworth Earth Day Celebration

Join us at this event which is intended to create awareness of the Allensworth, California township founded in August 1908 by Colonel Allen Allensworth and four other pioneering settlers. Together they established a town founded, financed and governed by African Americans. Please see the Allensworth Conference page for an agenda information and to register for the conference.
Preservation of our cultural heritage and birthrights through land reclamation and restoration of asiatic history in the lives & minds of ourselves and our youth is one of the ongoing goals of the Khephra KAllective and our supporters.
The Khephra KAllective has designated The Allensworth historic community as important lands that should be reclaimed and restored. Allensworth Cemetery is a sacred burial ground that has fallen into woeful disrepair due to a procession of time and lack of funds. We have recorded the plight of the cemetery’s decay in the photos below.
We at the Khephra KAllective would like to pay homage and respect to 44 ancestral souls laid to rest in this cemetery.
We will support and assist the community of Allensworth in the restoration of the cemetery site. We have applied to the National Trust for Historic Preservation of the (Eleven Most Endangered Historic Places) as a powerful alarm to raise national awareness of the serious threat facing the Allensworth Historical cemetery. In the spirit of Haraambee (swahili for “Let U s Pull Together”), the Khephra KAllective is raising the neccessary funding that will see these goals to fruition.
We realize that any donation no matter great or small can get us one step further down the path to restoring and preserving our ancestral heritage and the legacies of those upon whose shoulders we stand. Contributions can be made by registering for the conference below, making direct donation or supporting our store.
